As the metaverse wave slowly sweeps the globe, The CryptoSea has a unique offering—the first-ever underwater metaverse. After their first collection, Shuffle Sharks, the project is gearing up to launch their second NFT collection called Salty Shrimps. Taking inspiration from the Bitcoin holder ranking, there will be eight NFT collections in total. These are—humpback, whale, shark, dolphin, fish, octopus, crab, and shrimp. Besides, each collection comes with its own roadmap and benefits.
Actually, The CryptoSea has a larger goal—to protect the marine ecosystem. With their first drop, for instance, the team partnered with Sharkangels.org to adopt real living sharks to protect them. Once the second drop goes live, The CryptoSea will plant one mangrove tree for each NFT.
Salty Shrimps NFTs: 1,696 Shrimps to hit the Solana blockchain
Salty Shrimps NFTs are pixelated, colourful shrimp NFTs living on the Solana blockchain. They come with varying traits including eyes, mouth, neck, clothes, and more. They come in three rarities: Regular, Companion, and Ultra Rare.
Of a total of 1,696 Shrimps, The CryptoSea team will airdrop one each to the holders of Shuffle Sharks. Then, the whitelist sale will go live on March 12 for 0.66 SOL per NFT. If you can’t get on the whitelist, you can still grab an NFT for a slightly higher price of 0.99 SOL during the public sale at 7 pm UTC on March 13.
Furthermore, Salty Shrimps NFTs come with a slew of benefits. First and foremost, with every mint, The CryptoSea plans to plant a mangrove tree, which is crucial to the growth and survival of the coastal ecosystems. Next, the first 200 public mints will be airdropped Crabs, the third species in The CryptoSea. Apart from these, one lucky Shrimp holder will win an exciting trip to Thailand to experience the marvel of mangrove forests in real.
The CryptoSea roadmap has more rewards for holders
Founded by a team of friends from Berlin, Germany, The CryptoSea project’s aim is to make NFTs “a fun and tangible community experience”. Keeping the community first, they want to give their members access to “unique experiences” and help them create “unforgettable memories across the globe”. While this is quite evident from the individual collections’ roadmaps, The CryptoSea also has an overarching roadmap filled with utilities.
For instance, the team has already set up a “virtual home” for the community on Portals. Here, community members can virtually come together to enjoy exclusive events, giveaways, airdrops, and more. Recently, one Shuffle Sharks holder won a trip to South Africa. Virtual games, a members-only physical beach house, and a real-life beach fest are also in the pipeline. Going forward, holders with a full set of NFTs from all the collections will receive 50% of the royalties collected in a community wallet.
